Verteilung

Der Wirkstoff wird in alle Kompartimente verteilt (EMEA 2014a) und gelangt in die Plazenta und Milch (Demuth 1997a). In der Haut von Hunden werden 30 - 60% höhere Konzentrationen als im Serum erreicht (Lees 2013b). Gibt man den Wirkstoff 1 × täglich, kommt es zu keiner Akkumulation (Sykes 2014a).
 

Metabolismus

Pradofloxazin wird in der Leber mit Glucuronsäure konjugiert (EMEA 2014a).
 

Elimination

Hund:	ca. 40% wird nach oraler oder intravenöser Applikation hauptsächlich unverändert sowie als Glucuronid rasch über den Urin ausgeschieden (EMEA 2014a).
Katze:	10% des verabreichten Wirkstoffes wird grösstenteils unverändert sowie als Glucuronid über die Nieren eliminiert (Lees 2013b; EMEA 2014a).
